For guests and representatives

We establish the interest first.

We are not asking you to commit while we find out whether anybody wants to attend. Interest in an appearance is gathered before we approach you at all. When we do come to you, we come with evidence that an audience already wants it.

The general operating model. We aim for approximately twice the audience interest that the intended event capacity requires. For an event planned for 100 audience places, we would generally look for around 200 expressions of interest. That allows for the normal drop-off between somebody saying they are interested and going on to book.

An expression of interest is not a booking, not a ticket, not a promise that the event will happen, and not a charge. Nobody pays to express interest, and audience interest is not a guarantee of sales.

What we do

Private Appearances is designed so that the event-management work does not fall on you or on your representative.

  • We establish the demand for the appearance
  • We approach the guest or their authorised representative
  • We agree the terms of the appearance in advance
  • We prepare the audience
  • We prepare the event
  • We guide the guest through what is needed
  • We host the event live
  • We manage the audience throughout
  • We handle the payment process

What you are not asked to do

  • You are not asked to commit to a date before an audience exists.
  • You are not asked to provide your own host.
  • Your agent, manager or representative is not asked to host or operate the event.
  • You are not asked to run the technology, manage the audience or handle the money.
  • You are not asked to agree commercial terms after the event has happened.

A representative who would like to be present is welcome to attend the appearance as an audience member. There is nothing for them to operate.

  • We establish the audience.
  • We agree the appearance with you.
  • We prepare the event.
  • We guide you through it.
  • We host it live.
  • We handle the audience.
  • We handle the payment process.
  • You appear.
