Commercial terms

Agreed before the appearance, not after it.

The commercial arrangement for an appearance is settled with the guest or their authorised representative in advance, as part of agreeing the event itself.

Terms are agreed in advance

Commercial terms and the applicable payment split are agreed before the appearance is prepared or offered to an audience. There is no arrangement in which the terms are worked out afterwards.

Event income is handled through Stripe

Event money is handled through Stripe. Private Appearances manages the payment process so that neither the guest nor their representative has to operate it.

Payment follows wrap-up

Following wrap-up of the appearance, the guest and their agent or representative are paid according to the commercial split agreed for that appearance.

The split varies by agreement

There is no single split that applies to everyone. Arrangements such as 70/30 or 50/50 are possible, depending upon what is agreed for that particular appearance. The split that applies is the one written into the agreement for that event.

What this is not. Audience interest is not a sale. Expressions of interest are not bookings, not tickets and not charges, and they do not represent guaranteed revenue. Private Appearances does not offer a guaranteed income for an appearance, and no particular split is standard or compulsory.
